Jesse Neese

Tattooing since 1999, Jesse specializes in Cover-ups and multiple-session elaborate projects, often complex and covering large areas of the body. He has mastered both Color and Black and Grey, in a full range of styles from portraiture and realism to illustration, abstraction, surrealism and graffiti. He often emphasizes Faux textures, stone, metal, embroidery, three-dimensional illusion, realistic shadowing and dramatic lighting effects.

Historical art styles like woodcuts and etchings as well as comic books, graffiti, and fantasy art are his inspiration. His tattoo work and artwork have been featured in several international publications, and regularly win awards.

From 1992 until 2000, Jesse studied all aspects of visual art, art history, theatrical design and faux painting at the University of Nebraska’s Omaha campus eventually graduating with degrees in both Studio Art and Dramatic Arts.

He is a member of the Alliance of Professional Tattooists (APT), and strongly promotes their ethics of safe and responsible tattooing. Since 2010, he has been an instructor for the APT’s Preventing Disease Transmission in Tattooing seminar, and served on their BoD for 15 years. He now serves as an advisor to the BoD and is currently on the Body Art Committee for the National Environmental Health Association.

Jesse makes sure to give every client the best tattoo possible. He cares about their tattoo, and that it is done with the best possible equipment, pigments, and in the cleanest environment.
He does not charge extra to draw custom pieces, and often spends significant amounts of time researching, finding references, and drawing preliminary sketches to create unique all-custom tattoos for each client. Jesse gives the same attention to small tattoos as it’s just as important that folks have them done safely and excellently.

“I really enjoy working with each client to design the right tattoo, and am honored that people want my art on their skin. I truly love being part of such an amazing profession.” -Jesse Neese

I am currently taking new projects!

All appointments will be tattooed at Nuclear Ink Custom Tattoo at 159 N 72nd St. Omaha, NE, unless otherwise arranged.
I’d be glad to plan something out with you.
Everything I do is custom, so once we have a plan, I can figure out the time needed and estimate a cost for the tattoo. My current hourly rate is $160/hr.

I generally start by getting an idea of what you’re looking to have tattooed, then we can schedule a consultation to meet in person, measure the area it will be applied, discuss options, sketch out a rough draft and figure out the details.

I tattoo a wide range of styles and enjoy everything from diligently copying historical paintings or a child’s crayon drawing to freehand abstraction or surrealism, full color or black and grey.

I prefer to work on large pieces, artistically I can do more interesting stuff, and flow with the body better. The time needed and number of visits all depends on the size, style, amount of detail/shading/color etc.

Though I often do larger tattoos, I don’t mind doing smaller tattoos as long as they fit the body appropriately. I love doing someone’s first tattoo and have patience with those who aren’t used to the process yet. It’s also great to do tattoos for groups of family or friends, I have a lot of fun meeting my clients’ relatives and besties.

For out-of-state clients, it is possible to do much of the planning through e-mail or online consultation.

I’m excited to create an awesome piece of art with you!
